Recently fixed Vitamix 5000 blender (2005 model)

Had a 2005 Vitamix 5000 come in—these are real workhorses. This model line goes back to the early 90s and is known for its power and simple design.

Issue was pretty typical: unit powered on, but performance was weak and inconsistent. Opened it up - worn motor brushes and a tired drive socket. Replaced both, cleaned everything inside, and tested under load.

Back to full power. These older Vitamix machines are built to last - most just need basic maintenance, not replacement.
